After a visit to the Bronx Zoo, many Halloween thrill seekers discovered that things that go bump in the night might not be ghosts, goblins or werewolves

Like many New York neighborhoods, the South Bronx is experiencing a wave of gentrification. Yet, at the same time, a handful of architecturally fascinating places remain abandoned or derelict.

Hector “Tito” Vazquez, 75, moved from Puerto Rico to 3rd Avenue in the Bronx as a child and became fast friends with many of the neighborhood boys.

Geeks descended on Comic Con’s four-day event to show off their head-turning cosplays and character impersonations.

Nashaz, a Brooklyn-based band that plays an eclectic combination of jazz and traditional Arabic music, gave its first performance in the Bronx October 10th.

The NYBG's third spooky event features eye-popping Funkins (foam pumpkins) by Ray Villafane.
